It's Time To Re-Assess, Restock, and Replace Items in Your Wardrobe - Here's How

January 12, 2016

The month of January is the best time to set new intentions, create new goals and focus on what you want to accomplish during the upcoming year. It is also the perfect time to re-assess your wardrobe and replace or stock up on your basics.

Items like underwear, bras and hosiery start to wear out due to constant washing and should be replaced every six months to a year depending on the quality. Take advantage of the sales at stores like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales and Barneys - check out my resource page for more suggestions and links to shop online.

Stock up on cashmere sweaters or scarves, or treat yourself to a new pair of leather gloves. You deserve them! If you are in the market for a new winter coat or black leather boots, then now is the time to shop. The stores want to get rid of their winter inventory to make room for resort wear and spring! If you love designer labels but can’t afford the regular price then get shopping. You’ll be surprised at the deals you can find. Maybe now is the time to start investing in you!

A closet audit is an opportunity to get rid of those items that are no longer serving you and make room for some new additions that will make you look and feel like the successful person you are. If you haven’t already done so, download my closet audit guide to get started. It takes you step by step through the process from how to evaluate your clothes and create new outfits to a list of the must have every women’s wardrobe should include. A curated wardrobe makes getting dressed a breeze and more importantly, reflects who you are and where you are headed. Wishing you much success in 2016!
